21-year-old Banning woman identified in deadly shooting

A 21-year-old woman has been identified after a deadly shooting occurred in Beaumont over the weekend. The coroner’s office identified her Monday as Jasmine Zuniga. No suspects have been identified yet.

Beaumont police officers and Riverside County sheriff’s deputies were called to the 500 block of Michigan Avenue at about 10:30 p.m. Saturday after multiple people reported hearing shots fired in the area. They found Zuniga unresponsive in a vehicle, suffering from a gunshot wound, according to a news release.

Officers said Zuniga died from her injuries after being taken to a local hospital. The search for the suspect(s) continues.
