One person shot in Indio
One person is in the hospital after being shot in Indio.
Indio police are still investigating where the shooting happened but they are investigating leads at a home on the 82-000 block of Tahquitz Ave, near Miles Ave.
Neighbors in the area told KESQ & CBS Local 2’s Joe Galli that they heard what they believed what sounded like fireworks and then heard the sound of a car speeding away from the scene.
The victim suffered an apparent gunshot wound to the leg. They were transported to JFK hospital and are expected to survive.
There is no suspect info at this time, IPD is currently still conducting investigations.
