Victim identified in deadly shooting at Indio apartment complex

UPDATE: Police have released the name of the person who was shot and killed in a shooting at an apartment complex on Avenue 50 in Indio on February 24th.

33-year old Jimmy Terrones was the victim of the early morning deadly shooting. Police have not identified a suspect at this time.The investigation is still ongoing.

The Indio Police Department is investigating a deadly shooting that happened at an apartment complex near Avenue 50 and Monroe Street in the early Friday morning.

The apartment complex is located at 82109 Avenue 50. Officers were called to the scene at 2 a.m., according to Sgt. Dan Marshall. The victim’s identity hasn’t been released yet. Investigators are treating the case as a homicide, though Sgt. Marshall said the investigation was still in its early stages.

“Detectives do have things that they are looking into and leads they were following up on,” Marshal said.

No suspect information has been released.
