Living Desert contest offers chance to be a cheetah zookeeper for a day

The Living Desert is holding a contest that will allow one person the chance to be a cheetah zookeeper for a day.

This is all apart of a partnership with Coca-Cola, customers at the East Valley, Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert, and Inland Empire Albertsons can find an entry form for the contest February 6th through March 20th.

Customers also have the opportunity to win a family of four membership for a year.

A typical day for a professional zookeeper includes observing animal behavior, cleaning exhibits, training animals, creating enrichment items, interacting with guests, among other duties.

“It’s an honor to care for cheetahs, which create a deep appreciation for the natural world in everyone who sees them,” said Ben Klopf, Animal Care Manager at The Living Desert. “Our zookeepers are excited to share the experience of caring for these amazing animals with the winner of this promotion.”

Entrants must be 18 and older to enter. Winners are selected at random and will be notified via email. For more information, visit www.LivingDesert.org or call 760-346-5694.
