Biggest names in tennis set to battle at BNP Paribas Open

Over 4,000 fans walk through the gate of the Indian Wells Tennis Garden each year, but that’s just a small percentage of those actually watching the BNP Paribas Open for these two weeks in March. Both the men’s ATP (Association of Tennis Professionals) and women’s WTA (Women’s Tennis Association) are broadcast live to the world, whether it’s ESPN, the Tennis Channel, or SKY TV out of London.

The official number of fans that will watch is not officially recorded, but it is estimated in the multi millions for the BNP Paribas Open alone; making it the biggest non Grand Slam event all year.

KESQ and CBS Local 2’s Sports Department has been bringing you live action from the Tennis Garden throughout the week as some of the biggest names in tennis get set to take the court Saturday.
