Suspect detained in Rancho Mirage hunt for burglar

One person was detained after a several hour manhunt in Rancho Mirage. Riverside County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a perimeter search for a burglary suspect outside the Tuscany gated community near Da Vall and Via Tuscany Roads. The reported burglary took place inside the community at the 100 block of Via San Lucia just after 2 p.m. Authorities said one person was detained near Da Vall and Ramon Roads several hours later, however, no one was arrested for the crime. Deputies said it is an ongoing investigation.
