2 Banning HS students arrested for allegedly planning school shooting

Two 15-year-old Banning High School students were arrested on Monday, accused of possibly planning a shooting at their high school.

Witnesses reported overhearing a teen making threats to carry out a shooting on campus on Tuesday, March 21. The Banning Police Department’s school resource officer began looking into the threat and the ‘Kids With Guns Protocol’ was activated, authorities said.

During the investigation, officers found evidence indicating that two students were involved in the planning of a possible shooting at the high school. Both students were later arrested and booked into Riverside County Juvenile hall for Criminal Threats.
