Fourth shooting in Desert Hot Springs in one week

A shooting in Desert Hot Springs sent one person to the hospital Saturday night.

DHS Deputy Chief of Police Jim Henson said it happened on the 13800 block of El Cajon Drive just after 8 p.m. Henson told KESQNews Channel 3 and CBS Local 2 that a male victim was shot in the leg and was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. He said there is no suspect in custody.

No other details have been released.

This shooting follows a string of recent shootings in the city.
