Locals line up to be in Lady Gaga movie

Aspiring actors got their shot at 15 seconds of fame at the Miramonte Resort and Spa in Indian Wells Saturday.

Auditions were held for the upcoming film “A Star is Born”, which will be shot here in the Coachella Valley. The film will star Lady Gaga alongside Bradley Cooper.

Locals lined up in the hopes of being what casting directors are looking for.

“I wanted to be in a movie, be an extra. It sounded like fun. I just did a movie and I got the acting bug and I thought it would be fun, said Barbara-Ann Kaye from Palm Springs.

Filming will take place April 17th through April 19th. Organizers said they’re looking for about 500 to 600 people of all ages and ethnicities.

Prospective extras are expected to hear back this week.
