Third annual Autism walk raises awareness

Walkers hit the track at Cathedral City High School Saturday morning for the third annual Autism Walk.

The Coachella Valley Autism Society of America is working to raise awareness about Autism here in the desert. The event brought together families from all across the valley to show support for those living with the disorder.

“Its important for our community. We try to provide as many resources and services or get them connected to those local agencies to help them,” said CVASA President Thomas Lister-Looker.

Kids got to jump in the bounce house, play games and check out some of the numerous vendors in attendance. Experts said Autism is the fastest growing developmental disability.
