Power is restored for Southern California Edison customers in Cathedral City

Update: Power is restored for all customers in Cathedral City at of 6:30 a.m. Saturday morning.

Previous Coverage: Southern California Edison crews are working on an outage in Cathedral City Friday evening.

SCE crews are working on equipment near Panorama Park in Cathedral City. At this time, 673 customers have no power.

According to SCE, the outage was caused by equipment problems. The number of customers affected has fluctuated since it began at 7:05 PM, going as high as 2108 and as low as 673.

Power is expected to restored for most in the area by 7:00 AM Saturday morning, according to the SCE.
