Crews respond to kitchen fire at Cathedral City restaurant
Cathedral City Fire crews responded to a kitchen fire at The Block Bar & Grill Sunday afternoon.
Crews said the fire was reported around 1:30 p.m. at the sports bar on Ramon Road.
Firefighters said they saw black smoke coming from a kitchen vent, and told customers to evacuate the restaurant.
Employees used a fire extinguisher to put out the flames.
No injuries were reported.
The fire remains under investigation.
