I-10 WB on Washington back open following shooting investigation

I-10 Westbound shut down due to a police investigation of a vehicle to vehicle shooting.

I-10 Westbound between Cook and Washington was shut down at around 6:30 PM to investigate a vehicle to vehicle shooting that happened at Noon today. Police were looking for evidence, traffic was diverted off the freeway at Washington Street.

A 26-year-old male from Desert Hot Springs was shot during the incident. CHP doesn’t have his condition at this time.

According to Officer Mike Radford of the California Highway Patrol, CHP didn’t receive information on the shooting when it happened. The victim drove himself to the hospital and they were later notified.

Police have no information on a suspect, anyone with information is asked to call 760-772-5300.
