I-10 / Jefferson Traffic Updates this AM on KESQ

Demolition work at the new Jefferson Street Interchange continued Wednesday morning in Indio resulting in a full freeway closure in both directions.

Traffic was backed up a mile in both directions as of 5:30 a.m.

Crews were continuing to demolish the old Indio Boulevard bridge and remove debris from the freeway lanes.

The work was set to end by 6 a.m. then continue again Wednesday night at 8 p.m.
