Desert Hot Springs man arrested, charged with selling drugs

Morongo Basin Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a Desert Hot Springs man Tuesday, charged with possessing and selling drugs.

Deputies said they found 22-year-old Ryan Elm standing next to the Yucca Valley library on Twentynine Palms Highway just before 8:00 p.m. They said Elm was intoxicated, and would not comply with deputies when asked to place his backpack on the ground.

While conducting a pat down on Elm, deputies said they found a plastic baggie in his front sweatshirt pocket containing 15 Xanax pills.

Deputies said Elm had no prescription bottle for the Xanax, was selling them for $5.00 each and had $174.00 in his possession.

Deputies booked Elm into the Morongo Basin jail in lieu of $75,000 bail.
