Automotive business catches fire in Indio
Cal Fire crews have contained a structure fire that ignited Monday morning at an automotive shop.
The fire was reported just after 10 a.m. at Competition Tire & Wheel Inc., located in the 83600 block of Indio Boulevard. Firefighters arrived to see smoke coming from the tire shop. Fire officials said the fire was contained to the interior of the business at 10:27 a.m.
Fire crews were expecting to remain at the business for two hours as the investigation into the cause of the fire continues. Cal Fire is expected to release damage estimates later in the day.
