Traffic affected on HWY 62 after big rig crash

Authorities are on the scene of a big rig crash that occurred on Highway 62, just west of Desert Hot Springs and north of Indian Canyon Drive just before 12 p.m. Monday. The truck leaked soda ash, which is used to make glass, authorities told KESQ and CBS Local 2 at the scene.

CalTrans reported the slow lane has been closed to traffic while authorities investigate and clear the wreckage.

The driver wasn’t injured in the crash.
