Painted PETA protesters gather in Palm Desert
The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) is protesting crocodile-skin handbags sold by Louis Vuitton at the Gardens on El Paseo in Palm Desert Wednesday afternoon. Similar protests have been popping up around the world this year, including a Janurary protest in Paris.
The Palm Desert Louis Vuitton is located at 73545 El Paseo.

Protesters are wearing little more than green and brown body paint to resemble crocodiles. Two of the protesters were positioned in a prop made to look like a crocodile-skin handbag in front of the Louis Vuitton store. They’re urging shoppers to not buy products made from tormented animals, but rather vegan clothing and accessories.

The PETA protest is in response to a Louis Vuitton promotion to get people to buy handbags made from exotic animal skin.
