Alleged blonde wig wearing Palm Springs bank robber pleads not guilty
Update 05/25/17: Anthony Tyrone Mack pleaded not guilty today in Los Angeles.
Mack was recently arrested for alleged possession of a controlled substance and a parole violation, according to jail records. He was released in that case on March 30 on $5,000 bail.
Trial was scheduled for July 11 in Los Angeles federal court.

Original 05/01/17: A parolee wearing a blonde wig robbed a Palm Springs bank at gunpoint Monday, but was caught shortly afterward following a foot chase, police reported.
The robbery occurred around 11 a.m. at the Citi bank at 1675 E. Palm Canyon Drive, according to Sgt. William Hutchinson.

Anthony Tyrone Mack, 39, allegedly robbed the Citi bank at 1675 E. Palm Canyon Drive around 11 a.m., according to Sgt. William Hutchinson. The suspect, who is bald, shed the wig after running south out of the
bank, he said. Officers used a Taser to take him into custody around 11:20 a.m. near La Verne Way.

According to Hutchinson, the FBI will be handling the investigation into the bank robbery.
