Police search for armed robber who held up Indio bank

Authorities are searching for a man who held up an Indio Bank at gunpoint Friday afternoon.

The robbery happened just before 1 p.m. at California Bank and Trust on Highway 111, just east of Jefferson Street. Police said the man got away with a tray of money.

He is seen in surveillance photos wearing a camo outfit, sunglasses and a hat. The gun is seen in the surveillance photos too.

The armed robber is described as a white man between 25-30 years old. He left the bank on foot and police continue to search for him in the area. The bank is closed while the investigation continues.
