Tower of Terror no more? Check out newest ride at Disneyland

KESQ News Channel 3 and CBS Local 2’s Alexandra Pierce previewed the newest ride at Disneyland, which is replacing the very popular Tower of Doom. It’s part of the kickoff for the Summer of Heroes!

The new ride ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ opens to guests on Saturday, May 27 at Disney California Adventure Park. The adventure features the Guardians being held prisoner inside the mysterious Collector’s Fortress, where he displays his collection of rare artifacts found around the galaxy.

The infamous Rocket calls on guests to help him break out the Guardians. And when they do, all the Collector’s other prisoners break free setting the stage for a chaotic and heart-pounding experience, according to Disney officials.

Park officials said this is the Summer of Heroes at the Happiest Place on Earth. And, in addition to the new attraction, Super Heroes take center stage. Guests will join an Awesome Dance Off with Star-Lord, meet tree-of-few words Groot, learn how to become an avenger with Black Widow and snap pictures with Captain America and Spider-Man!

We’ll have all of our Disneyland video posted here throughout the weekend. Be sure to check back to check out all of the fun and adventure taking place at Disneyland this summer!
