Police search for driver who ran from deadly crash in La Quinta

KESQ News Channel 3 and CBS Local 2 is learning more details about a deadly crash that happened in La Quinta Monday morning. Officers said a woman who was the passenger in the vehicle died, and authorities are searching for the driver of the vehicle who ran after rolling the vehicle.

The rollover crash happened at about 8:20 a.m. at Dune Palms Road and Highway 111.

Westbound Highway 111 is closed between Dune Palms and Adams Street while officers continue to search for the driver and clear the wreckage from the road. The road is expected to be closed until 1 or 2 p.m. Monday.

Police have brought in a bloodhound to help search for the driver who fled from the deadly crash.
