Eldery man from Hemet found safe

A 70-year-old man with cancer reported missing on Friday has been found.

Riverside County Sheriff’s Deputies say Clyde Nelms was found safe and unharmed Saturday night by investigators from the Hemet Sheriff’s station. .

Nelms was given a medical evaluation as a precaution.

Helms was considered at-risk by authorities because he has likely been exposed to high temperatures throughout the day.

Clyde Nelms was last seen leaving his residence in the 26000 block of Cornell Street around 7 a.m., according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

The Sheriff’s Department would like to thank everyone for their help in locating Mr. Nelms.
