Old Town Indio block party features food, music, classic cars and community leaders

Food, music, games and all kinds of classic cars were on display in Old Town Indio Saturday night.

Many came out for the City of Indio Block Party.

Along with food and music, local leaders including Assembly Member Eduardo Garcia had booths for residents to come and speak with them about legislative issues being discussed in Sacramento, and issues concerning the Coachella Valley.

“For me, I spend Monday through Thursday in Sacramento,” Garcia said. “So Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays are extremely important to be able to have that one-on-one interface time with our own constituents, and to be able to get their feedback on the things they are working on, directly or indirectly, because it affects everyone here in the state of California.”

This is the second year the city has hosted the block party for residents.
