Inland Empire average gas price drops for 8th time in 9 days
The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in the Inland Empire dropped two-tenths of a cent today to $3.004, the sixth consecutive decrease and eighth in the past nine days.
The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino counties has dropped 1.9 cents over the past nine days, including a half-cent on Tuesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price is 1.4 cents less than one week ago but 2.9 cents more than one month ago, 18.5 cents higher than one year ago and 24.6 cents above what it was on Jan. 1, partially due to a stretch of 16 increases in 18 days through May 29, totaling 5.6 cents.
