Domestic violence suspect tries to escape after being arrested in La Quinta
Officers caught a 20-year-old man accused of felony domestic violence in La Quinta Wednesday morning after the man tried to escape following his arrest.
According to the La Quinta Police Department, Kevin Rosales of Beaumont was arrested on suspicion of felony domestic violence just before 4 a.m. stemming from an incident that occurred in the 79100 block of Desert Stream Drive in La Quinta.
The investigation led to the arrest of Rosales for felony domestic violence, according to officers.
When Rosales was being transported to the Riverside County Jail in Indio, he fled from the officer prior to entering the jail. Authorities searched the area and found Rosales several minutes later near the jail.
Rosales was taken back to jail where he was booked for felony domestic violence and escaping after his arrest.
Authorities continue to investigate and anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Thermal Sheriff’s Station at 760-863-8990.
