18 displaced after Desert Hot Springs apartment fire

18 people were forced out of their homes after a fire broke out at an apartment complex in Desert Hot Springs Saturday morning.

CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire crews said the fire was reported just before 10:30 a.m. at the Casa Del Sol apartments, located in the 66500 block of Fourth Street.

Approximately two dozen firefighters contained the blaze in about a half hour.

No injuries were reported.

The American Red Cross is helping the eight adults and 10 minors who were forced out of the complex.
