According to the Imperial Irrigation District’s Facebook page, the areas in the cities of Mecca, Indio, Palm Desert, Thousand Palms, and La Quinta were experiencing power outages. Power in Palm Desert was expected to be restored in four hours, three in Thousand Palms, no word on when power would return in Mecca, La Quinta, or Indio.

There were also a couple of power outages in Palm Springs, one of which affected over 1000 customers.

According to the Southern California Edison’s outage page, at one point 1391 customers were without power in the area of E Palm Canyon and Highway 111, that number fell to just three.
