Tourists sizzle during sweltering heat wave
Record-tying heat kept people in doors for most of Tuesday. Tourists traveling to Palm Springs knew things could heat up but that doesn’t mean they were prepared for 122-degree temperatures.
“It is pretty hot and we didn’t expect it to be this hot,” said Louise Gabler, who is visiting from Florida. “But hey, we are enjoying it and we are going to make the most of it. Palm Springs is beautiful and I would rather be here than not here.”
