Deputies investigate accidental shooting in Palm Desert

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department is investigating an early morning accidental shooting in Palm Desert.

According to Deputy Munoz, authorities received a call at about 2:15 a.m. Friday and found a male with what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound in the 73-300 block of Catalina Way near San Pablo Avenue. The victim was taken to the hospital with non life threatening injuries.

There’s no word on how the shooting happened at this time. The sheriff’s department is still in the area investigating what led up to the shooting.
