Suspect crashes stolen truck after high-speed chase through Indio
A suspect is in custody Thursday afternoon after crashing a stolen truck during a high-speed pursuit through Indio. Authorities said the truck was stolen in Palm Desert.
The suspect was driving the stolen truck northbound on Golf Center Parkway at Avenue 45 just before 12 p.m. when the driver crashed the vehicle. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department took the suspect into custody but no further information about the incident has been released yet.
The stolen Dodge Ram was heavily damaged on the front ride side of the truck, which collapsed after colliding with a traffic signal post. There are no road closures due to the crash but traffic is moving a bit slower in the area.
