Massive fire burns at Oakland construction site

A massive two alarm fire is burning at a construction site in Oakland. It’s burning at 23rd and Valdez Streets, just two blocks away from the Grand Avenue side of Lake Merritt.

In the center of the flames is an unstable crane.

There have been several structure fires in Oakland in the past year, one of the most memroable was the deadly Ghost Ship warehouse fire that killed 36 people.

Reports say the fire has spread to a nearby home.

No word on any injuries at this time.
