Back in May, sentencing was delayed because the judge was on leave after suffering some sort of injury. We’re told that’s the reason for today’s delay as well.

Grant’s brother has expressed frustration to News Channel 3 / CBS Local 2 in the past on the number of delays in the trial and now Franco’s sentencing.
After today’s hearing, a long time friend of Grant’s spoke to us about how frustrating this latest delay is.
“The delay in sentencing has been very hard for her family and friends, even more so considering the fact that her mother passed away shortly after the last delay in May,” said Shannon Kistler, High School Classmate of Jill Grant. “And now her father has passed away within a year of her murder and not be able to see this come to a full end and there be justice.”
Sentencing for Franco is now set for August 18.
