Pizza delivery driver involved in 2-vehicle rollover crash in Cathedral City

Two vehicles were involved in a rollover crash in Cathedral City Monday afternoon, and one of the vehicles was a pickup truck used for Dominos pizza delivery.

The rollover crash occurred on San Eliay Avenue and 30th Avenue shortly before 2:30 p.m. The crash happened near James Workman Middle School.

The Dominos delivery driver was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries to his head and neck. The driver of the other car in the crash sustained minor injuries, according to officials at the scene. Both vehicles were resting upside down when authorities arrived.

Drugs and alcohol aren’t believed to be factors in the crash but the official cause of the crash is still under investigation.

There is construction taking place on 30th Avenue, but it’s not clear if that had anything to do with the rollover at this time.
