Inland Empire gas price drops again

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gas dropped a cent today to $2.844, its lowest amount since Feb. 5.

The average price has dropped 30 of the past 37 days, decreasing 13.9 cents, including two-tenths of a cent on Tuesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is 1.9 cents less than one week ago, 10.4 cents lower than one month ago and 1.1 cents below what it was one year ago, but 8.6 cents more than on Jan. 1.
