Little league baseball equipment stolen in Cathedral City

The Central Valley Little League in Cathedral City was targeted by thieves on Thursday.

According to Jessica Olson, president of the league, the equipment room was broken into. The door was broken open, and while assessing the damage league officials noticed many items had been stolen from the equipment room.

The little league’s equipment room is located at 2nd Street Park in Cathedral City, located at 68752 Buddy Rogers Drive.

According to Olson, the stolen items included:

4 equipment bags 36 helmets – 12 brand new SCHUTT 15 baseball bats of all sizes 1 bucket of baseballs 4 sets of catcher’s gear 6 catcher’s mitts 2 Yamaha speakers with stands 1 wireless dual system 1 gear One/Yamaha monitor sound system Learn more about the Central Valley Little League in Cathedral City

A police report has been filed and officers are investigating the theft. They have gathered evidence and fingerprints, but at this time have no leads.
