Transgender community holds rally in Palm Springs
Members of the Coachella Valley’s transgender community came together in downtown Palm Springs to rally against President Trump’s transgender military ban.
About 100 people came out to Chill Bar on East Arenas Road Thursday evening to voice their disagreement with the President’s ban.
“This is why I’m organizing this today, to let our transgender community know, at least all of us here in the Coachella Valley, we love you and we’re going to support you and make sure that Trump doesn’t allow this to happen,” Vincent Corrales said.
A 2016 Rand study found transgender-related treatments would add at most one tenth of 1% — or less than $9 million to military health care spending.
