ZooTeens learn ins and outs of working at The Living Desert

Teens with a passion for animals are learning the ropes at the Living Desert.

ZooTeens are experiencing everything from learning how to interact with guests of all ages, to handling some of the zoo’s most beloved animals.

The Living Desert has put on the volunteer program for more than 15 years, teaching kids ages 14 to 18 the ins and outs of working at the zoo.

After completing their training, the teens are required to complete a full year of service and 12 volunteer hours each month.

If you know of anyone who might be interested in becoming a ZooTeen, there are still openings for fall and winter dates.
