Cathedral City police searching for armed carjacker

Police are searching for an armed suspect who accused of an armed carjacking in Cathedral City Friday just before noon.

CCPD received a call of a reported carjacking at around 11:30 a.m. on the 68-600 block of Ramon Road.

The victim told police that a white male, wearing a blue hoodie and gray shorts with Blonde hair pointed a gun at her and took the keys to her vehicle. The suspect left the scene in that vehicle, the victim was not hurt.

Nearly 10 minutes later, officers found the stolen car unoccupied on Aurora Vista near Corral Road. The suspect remains on the loose.
