Traveling with Francoise: Yosemite National Park

Francoise Rhodes visited in studio to talk about traveling to Yosemite National Park.

The park covers nearly 1,200 square miles in the Sierra Nevada. some parts if the park have been fighting fires for the last month, but Yosemite is open for visitors.

There are hiking, camping, fishing and dining opportunities inside the park. Reservations are highly recommended, as thousands of guests visit each day. Entrance fee per vehicle is $30.

Rhodes recommends visitors stay at Bass Lake if you’re looking to cut the cost on lodging. She also urges people to take a trip on the Sugar Pine Railroad. It’s an old steam engine trail, which takes riders through the forest. While on the railroad you will be able to stop for a campfire sing along.
