Woman arrested for identity theft in the high desert

A woman was arrested Tuesday night accused of identity theft.

A deputy conducted a traffic enforcement stop in the area of Yucca Trail and Alta Avenue in Joshua Tree. During the enforcement stop, the deputy contacted the driver who was identified as Jilleen Davidson. Through the investigation, paperwork was found inside the vehicle that appeared to be associated with identity theft.

A potential victim was contacted and confirmed they were in fact a victim of identity theft. Davidson was arrested for identity theft and booked into the Morongo Basin Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail. Davidson was found to be on Probation and a no bail Probation hold was placed on her.
