Woman accused of attempted murder, after stabbing two victims

A Yucca Valley woman is accused of attempted murder after police say she stabbed two victims.

On Tuesday, deputies responded to the 55000 block of Santa Fe Trail for a report of stabbing. At the location, deputies found two victims with stab wounds. They have been identified as 46-year-old Melvin Porter and 37-year-old Desiree Ramirez, both residents of Yucca Valley. Deputies say Porter was stabbed in his arm and Ramirez was stabbed in her hand, arm, chest and below her chin. Both victims were transported to the Desert Regional Medical Center for treatment.

On Thursday, deputies determined the victims were stabbed by 23-year-old Ronnie Zink, a resident of Yucca Valley. The Yucca Valley Multiple Enforcement Team (MET), obtained a warrant for Zink’s arrest and later served the warrant at her residence in the 7000 block of Cholla Avenue in Yucca Valley. Zink was arrested for her warrant and booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, bail was set at $1,000,000.00.
