Two arrested in alleged DHS home burglary

A man and a woman are in custody for an alleged residential burglary Friday morning.

Desert Hot Springs police officers responded to a report of a burglary in progress at a residence on the 9000 block of Calle De Vecinos in Desert Hot Springs Friday at around 11:30 a.m.

Police say the two suspects had forced entry into a residence and were being watched on closed circuit surveillance cameras by the home owner in another location.

Officers arrived on scene found 28-year-old Wesley Patterson, of Blythe, and 34-year-old Tara Hinsdale, of Desert Hot Springs inside the residence. Police found property from inside the residence on the suspects at the time of the arrest.

Patterson and Hinsdale have been booked into the Riverside County Jail in Banning.
