Rep. Ruiz discusses thriving local solar power industry
Local congressman Dr. Raul Ruiz discussed the solar industry Monday afternoon at a meet and greet tour of one of the Coachella Valley’s largest solar companies.
The Representative visited Renova Solar in Palm Desert, to get a first-hand account of the impact of the local solar industry.
He met with the founder and CEO -and discussed how solar power and the battery storage industry are thriving.
“As you know this is our competitive advantage, and this is what I’m focused on in helping to decrease our reliance on foreign oil and to increase our energy independence. It’s good for our economy, good for our workers, good for our desert,” Ruiz said.
Installers with Renova also met with the Congressman, covering the topics of technical positions and wages.
