Large mountain lion found dead in Thermal
A KESQ News Channel 3 and CBS Local 2 viewer provided the station with these images of a large mountain lion found dead in Thermal Sunday night near Highway 111, west of Fillmore Street.
The viewer, who wished to remain anonymous, said that the animal was found near a farm with livestock. Neighbors in the area reportedly told the caller that their dogs had been barking in recent nights and they believed it may have been due to the mountain lion stalking the area.
The caller said that the animal had been hit by a vehicle. Animal Control offices were not immediately available for more information. However, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department confirmed they had received calls about it, but were not able to provide other information.
