The SHAG Store to have pop-up re-opening this Saturday

The SHAG Store in Palm Springs will soon be back in business. The store announced on Facebook they would have a pop-up reopening this Saturday.

According to the store manager, Monet Leann Orystick, the pop up store would be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the 7 days a week after that.

She said the pop up shop would be located in a temporary space next to the unit where it previously was, eventually expanding into the corner unit to become a larger store, on it’s grand re-opening on October 21. That will coincide with Modernism Week events.

The store was damaged in a fire on August 2. Store owner Jay Nailor said at the time that the store suffered over a hundred thousand dollars in damages just in prints alone. The Palm Springs Fire Department says the fire is considered suspicious but are still investigating the cause.

The unit damaged by the fire will eventually be taken over by Trio Restaurant, according to Orystick.
