Suspected agriculture thief in custody

A North Shore man is in custody on suspicion of recent agricultural thefts in the East Valley.

Riverside County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted an enforcement stop on avenue 66, near highway 86 on Friday. During that stop, officials arrested 43-year-old Roberto Salazar for possession of a concealed, loaded firearm and for an outstanding felony warrant related to agricultural theft.

Deputies are continuing their investigation into recent agricultural thefts in the cities of Thermal, Mecca, and Oasis.
