Two pharmacies robbed minutes apart

Two Walgreen’s stores were robbed within minutes of each other Monday night.

According to Deputy Mike Vazquez of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, at around 8:40 pm, two African-American males entered the Walgreen’s on the 72000 block of Dinah Shore in Rancho Mirage and forcibly took property. The pair then fled the location.

Nearly 20 minutes later, the Walgreen’s on the 42000 of Washington Street in Bermuda Dunes was also forcibly robbed of property. The suspects in that robbery were also identified as two African-American males.

Authorities are not sure if the two same suspects were behind both of the robberies, but they are not ruling it out, according to Vasquez. No weapons were used in either of the robberies.

Police are looking for possible suspects.
