La Quinta’s Marcus McAvoy wins Play of the Week

La Quinta’s Marcus McAvoy won our play of the week with an amazing interception, somehow managing to keep a foot inbounds, that helped La Quinta win the Flag Game over Palm Desert in a thrilling triple overtime game.
Of the more than 24,000 votes cast, McAvoy received 67 percent of the tally.
“It feels good, we needed a spark at the beginning of the game and I had to make a play. Thankful for my friends and family for voting for me. We’ll be back next year,” McAvoy said.
