Cathedral City woman convicted of posing as immigration consultant deported to Mexico

A Cathedral City woman who posed as an immigration consultant has been deported to Mexico.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Officials have confirmed that Sara Salcido was deported on Oct. 19

Last November Salcido was convicted of six counts of grand theft, two misdemeanor counts of petty theft and one misdemeanor count of illegally representing a client during an immigration hearing.

In the criminal complaint, Salcido was accused of taking $35,000 from ten victims whole illegally providing advice for filing visa applications.
